RAC Audit Defense Impact Team

 Health Information Partners’ RAC  Audit Defense Impact Team is prepared for the challenges that lie ahead with the National Recovery Auditing Programs.  We offer a strategic service to coordinate, track and monitor timely responses, financial impact and appeals to claim RAC audits. 

 H.I.P’s Audit Defense Impact Team partners with hospital management to identify process improvement opportunities to minimize financial impact to the organization and provide training where needed for clinical and coding staff.

HIP’s Audit Defense Coordinator partners with the hospital management team as the single point of contact to track deadlines, coordinate internal reviews and respond to requests for documentation. They will assist in appeal documentation preparation, provide trend and financial impact reports and coordinate key input from hospital stakeholders. 

Other professional members of our Audit Defense Impact Team consist of PFS Analyst/Auditors, Certified Coders and Clinical Documentation Specialist.  When needed, our Audit Defense Impact Team is also available to provide staff and physician training on identified issues that can help reduce future financial impact to the organization.
